About Ralph Ganchero
Ralph Ganchero is a Senior Wealth Advisor at Citi Personal Wealth Management and Chartered Financial Consultant® with over 23 years of experience. He helps high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families organize their wealth and plan for the future. His approach combines comprehensive financial planning with practical steps to connect clients’ investments, retirement needs, and legacy goals
Ralph begins by understanding each client’s responsibilities and priorities. Many clients have accumulated investments across multiple institutions, former employer retirement plans, and accounts established at different stages of life. He helps them understand what they own, how their investments work together, and where simplifying or consolidating may be appropriate. The goal is a coordinated strategy reflecting their income needs, growth objectives, and comfort with risk.
His degree in Economics complements his ChFC® training, providing a foundation for understanding financial markets and economic forces influencing clients’ plans. Planning conversations may include retirement income, tax-aware investing, insurance needs, charitable giving, and wealth transfer. He works with clients’ tax and legal professionals, where appropriate, to connect investment decisions with their overall plan.
Wealth planning is deeply personal, particularly when family relationships are complex. Divorce, second marriages, children and stepchildren, and caregiving responsibilities can create competing priorities. Ralph helps clients explore these considerations—for example, balancing a spouse’s financial needs with a desired legacy for children, or revisiting beneficiary arrangements after a major life change.
Ralph emphasizes clear explanations, manageable next steps, and ongoing conversations. His aim is to make managing wealth more understandable, giving clients more time for what they value.
Ralph and his wife have been married for 24 years and enjoy spending time with their animals. On the weekends, they can often be found exploring Southern California’s farmers markets, coffee shops, museums, and historic neighborhoods, with an appreciation for older architecture.
